5 JanMy new year’s resolutions were challenged as soon as I saw this beautiful outfit! The old me would have gone inside the shop, swept the credit card and (probably) would have this outfit resting in the back of my closet for, let’s say, another month! “Shop your closet!” the voice inside my head advised me… Wise decision. As soon as I came home, I remember I do own a pleated long skirt and a jacket similar to that one! I have already the whole outfit! That’s why I fell in love for it so quickly.

9. Patterned silk two-piece comprising a top and skirt. Halterneck top with fringes, a silicone trim at the top on the inside and a concealed zip at the side. Knee-length, figure-fit skirt with fringes and a zip at the side. Both the top and skirt are lined with chiffon. Length of top at the back 8¼”/21 cm in size 12, and skirt length 20″/51 cm in size 12. 100% silk. Machine wash at 30˚.

16 Feb>Taking style clues from Gucci and Chloe, I decided to shop for neutral-hued pieces. Visiting Mango Outlet, I found a bolero very similar to the one Gucci presented on the catwalk. From the runways to the subways, my pretties! I choose the bone version. I am looking forward to receive it and pair it with a nice neutral dress and great accessories.
Buscando inspiração nas coleções Gucci e Chloe para novos looks em tons neutros, acabei achando uma pechincha no Outlet de Mango. Trata-se de um bolero idêntico ao que Gucci levou a`s passarelas. Na cor bege clara, fica muito parecido! Com um tubinho em tom neutro, claro e acessórios poderosos, rende uma composição interessantíssima.

12 Feb>Prints are making up a lot of collections for spring/summer 2011. The ‘inspired by an epic tale of mysticism’ looks, as seen on the SS11 London Fashion Week, presented glorious floral designs, paisley and botanical prints. Browsing some ideas on how to incorporate some prints into my wardrobe, I found excellent ideas. From hight street designs to exclusive pieces, there is a vast choice. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend. Topshop Unique Collection just arrived and for 200 GBP I could have a 100% silk pink print jumpsuit. However, I decided to snap up bargains. There’s a certain thrill in bargain shopping that comes with the hunt and when you finally find something for a fraction of the price that still gives the seasons’ look that counts, well… what can I say? Mission accomplished?!
As estampas virão com toda força nesta Primavera Verão 2011. A London Fashion Week apresentou varias estampas florais, paisley (basta pensar nas estampas Liberty!) e um jardim botânico inteiro (imaginem as estampas da chita brasileira). Procurando o que incorporar no meu guarda-roupa para a próxima temporada, achei ótimas alternativas, das mais carinhas como a Unique Collection da Topshop a`s mais econômicas. Gostei muito do jumpsuit (já chamado de `macacão`nos anos 70) de seda pura. Custo: 200 pounds. Decidi, então, garimpar os sites em busca de ofertas e acabei escolhendo um vestidinho estampado, 100% viscose, que já garante o look da temporada com tão pouco investimento. Enorme satisfação!
